Current Projects: District Electrical Service Equipment Replacement

Home / What We Do / Current Construction Projects / District Electrical Service Equipment Replacement

Project Overview

The purpose of this project is to ensure reliable electrical service at the Nine Springs Wastewater Treatment Plant. Existing electrical equipment providing main power to the plant is at the end of its expected life. To ensure continued reliable wastewater treatment for the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District service area, the power that feeds into the plant, the switchgears and the main transformers are being replaced. All work is within the boundaries of the plant, and the effect on the public is expected to be minimal. Work is being coordinated closely with Madison Gas & Electric.

Public Involvement

All work is within the fence of the Nine Springs Wastewater Treatment Plant. No public input was collected.
