This in-person event organized by the 2022 artist/educator in residence will draw correlations between water and food sovereignty, while also highlighting District engagement with local agriculture.

Dan Cornelius, local farmer at Yowela Farm and member of the Onieda Nation of Wisconsin, will briefly speak on Indigenous food sovereignty at 5:00 pm and lead community discussions focused on farming, food production and resource recovery. District staff will be onsite to talk about agricultural connections to water.

Kayak rentals from Brittingham Boats will be available during the event at a significantly reduced rate. A wild rice salad will be served as a snack/dessert and there will be CSA produce available for attendees as a takeaway gift. Come enjoy food, water activities and fellowship!
