10th Addition Improvements
This project includes various work
related to the District’s recently completed 10th Addition
project. A summary of the work to be completed is as follows:
- Installation of a new
screw conveyor in the Headworks Facility.
- Demolition of an air
handling unit and associated controls in the Boiler Building.
Installation of a control damper, actuators, and controls for HVAC
operation.
- Installation of three new
variable frequency drives, progressing cavity pumps, and associated
piping in Sludge Control Building No. 2.
- Installation of a new
sludge grinder and miscellaneous piping modifications in Sludge Control
Building No. 2.

Modifications to the
existing boiler exhaust stacks in Sludge Control Building No. 2.
- Ductile iron piping
modifications in Sludge Control Building No. 1 and Tunnel No. 2.
All work is located at the District’s
Nine Springs Wastewater Treatment Plant in the City of Madison, Dane
County, Wisconsin.
