Tenth Addition to Nine
Springs Treatment Plant
This project includes major
revisions to the Nine Springs Wastewater Treatment Plant, including the
following:
- Construction of a new
Headworks Facility, including influent flow measurement, fine screening,
screenings washing & compaction, vortex grit basins, and grit dewatering.
- Construction of a new
septage receiving station.
- Construction of a new
anaerobic digester.
- Construction of a new
Dewatering and Biosolids End-Use Facility.
- Modifications to the
Digestion Complex to convert to Temperature Phased Anaerobic Digestion (TPAD).
- Modifications to numerous
facilities throughout the Treatment Plant.
- Demolition of existing
influent metering, aerated grit, and septage receiving facilities.
Work
on the project began in 2003 and will continue into 2007.
