NEI-Pflaum Road Replacement
MMSD’s existing Northeast Interceptor, constructed in 1964, had inadequate capacity and had become unreliable due to corrosion. This project replaced the old reinforced concrete interceptor and increased the overall collection system capacity. The project included approximately 7,200 feet of interceptor ranging in size from 36-inch diameter to 54-inch diameter. The project extended from Buckeye Road (on the north end) to the junction with the Far East Interceptor (on the south end), which included approximately 500 lineal feet of interceptor in the north lane of Pflaum Road.
