Aeration Tanks 1-6 Rehabilitation
This project will replace the aging Norton dome diffusers in aeration tanks 1 through 6 with a new Sanitaire fine-bubble diffuser system. Sanitaire was chosen through a competitive pre-selection process prior to bid opening.
The Aeration Tanks 1-6 Rehabilitation Project includes the removal and disposal of all existing manifolds, air distributor piping, diffusers, and all other aeration equipment in these tanks. Approximately 270 feet of abandoned 30” cast iron settled sewage pipe and associated concrete supports will also be removed from tanks 2 and 5. Sections of deteriorated concrete walkways will be removed and replaced. The project also includes expansion joint sealing and miscellaneous demolition work.
